Uniform Task Based Management System and EDI Billing

"What are UTBMS and EDI billing?  Does Orion support them?"

Yes, Orion supports what is commonly referred to as task-based billing. 

UTBMS stands for the Uniform Task Based Management System, a series of codes used to classify the legal services performed by a law firm in an electronic invoice submission that meets EDI (electronic data interchange specifications)

Orion software is capable of producing electronic invoices in an electronic file format independent of what the "regular" invoice looks like on paper.

Once the EDI format is created the firm can submit bills electronically each month, as needed, and upload file directly to specified websites for review.

Firms must purchase the Orion EDI billing module and the various templates (file format outputs) in order to generate electronic invoices. Orion has a library of numerous EDI standard billing formats such as Legal Solutions and Ledes98b. Please ask us if you have a particular format you need.
