MICR Setup in Check Style

  • Updated

Most likely, you need to make sure the MICR font is assigned properly in the check style itself for the MICR object. The MICR object is MICRRoutingNumber found in the BankAccount data feed. Click on the object itself where the MICR routing number is located in the style and then make sure the font is assigned as IDAutomationMICR or IDAutomationMICR B. Now attempt to reprint your check.

Note: If it still doesn't print correctly you can check that the Bank Routing number itself is input properly in the Bank Setup under the MICR field. The position of the object on the style should be consistent in terms of placement left to right and from the bottom of check with what is required by specifications. You may need to double check the IDE manual for placement or use an old check that has a MICR number printed on it that worked in past to compare it.

Note: The MICR routing number for the account number must be placed in the proper place on the check. Some check formats have a small rectangle watermark or + symbol where the start of the routing number "on us symbol should be placed.
