Historical Timekeeper Rates

  • Updated

If you locate the Default Rate Code and the Override Rate Code used on the Matter on the Billing Rates Tab, you can run a rate listing report on those Rate Sets. Click on the Reporting icon and select the Rate Sets report in the File Maintenance Reports folder. You can run the report for Show all rate history to see all Rates entered. This will not display the effective date next to the Timekeeper. The last entry on the Timekeeper will be the most current one being used.

In order to separate out the Rates being used for each year, you will need to run the report separately for each year using the  Only Rates As of prompt.

You may also see the historical rate changes in the window if you go to File Maintenance Manager > Tools > Manage Codes, select Rate Sets in the drop-down menu, and select the appropriate code. Next, choose ALL rates to display all rates ever entered on that Rate Set. You will see a list of Rates entered with the effective date.  This will give you an idea of the historical rate changes on the file.

However, keep in mind, this will not tell you if you have "flipped" the rate code itself on the particular matter from some other code in the past - the only way to see that would be to run an actual fee listing and look at the rates themselves. This process is useful only if you are interested in seeing the historical change on the same rate code used consistently on the particular Client-Matter.
