Orion Law Management Orion Desktop Articles Billing Editing Invoice Style to Not show data in Matter RE in lines 5 and above Post Update (internal use) Updated April 14, 2025 18:30 A special invoice object has been created to take care of this scenario. If you use CaseDescriptionFirst4Lines as the object for the matter re instead of individual line objects such as AdditionalDesc1, AdditionalDesc2, etc., this should allow for the proper presentation of data. You will need to edit the Invoice Styles to have CaseDescriptionFirst4Lines as the object being used in the Matter Re. Simply delete the fields using AdditionalDesc2, AddtionalDesc3, AdditionalDesc4 and change the field using AdditionalDesc1 to use object CaseDescriptionFirst4Lines. Enlarge the field by dragging the bottom line of the field to be the same size as the space that was taken up by the other fields you deleted, and the bottom edge of the field should be about the same spot as the bottom edge of the line container. Once you have inserted the correct field, right click on the field and choose Word Wrap to make it display correctly on the Invoices. Note that the data, if it has been input correctly, will display correctly in the LRMMATD file on the proper line number. This fix will only work if data that they do not want to show is keyed in lines 5 and above in LRMMATD properly. You may want to check LRMMATD on an example they say is not working first prior to editing the Invoices Styles. Test it through reprinting an Invoice or a draft after you have made corrections to the Invoice Styles.Note that this data displays like it is on lines 3 and above; however, in the data file it shows as lines 5 and 7 that should not print out on the Invoice. Changing the object used in the matter re: on the invoice format will work. Was this article helpful? Yes/No
