Orion Law Management Orion Desktop Articles File Maintenance Editing a Task Code Set Updated April 14, 2025 19:04 To edit an existing Task Set, either double click on the appropriate Task Set or highlight the Task Set and click the EDIT Button. You may edit the Code and Description field by typing over the existing data. To add a new Code, click the ADD CODE Button. To edit an existing Code, highlight the Code and either double click or click the EDIT CODE Button. To delete an existing Code, highlight the Code and click the DELETE CODE Button. If you choose to edit an existing Code, the only fields within the Code you are allowed to change are the Used For, Activity Required and Description fields. Once you have made all of your changes, click the SAVE Button. Upon saving the changes to the Task Set, Orion will automatically distribute the changes to Matters assigned the Task Set.NOTE: Deleting existing Codes within a Task Set removes the Code as an available option in the Task Code Look-Up. Any transactions previously entered with the Code will retain that Code. However, if the transaction(s) is still in WIP, you will be unable to invoice it until a new and valid Code is assigned to the transaction.Task Set ToolsWhen you have a Task Set displayed, you can check to see what Matters have been assigned the Task Set by clicking TOOLS, Show Matters Using Set. The program will display the Matter Manager filtered for Matters using the current Task Set. To make global changes, select what you need to change and click TOOLS, Edit Selected. Select the values (if any) you want to change and click the OK Button.You can also copy the currently displayed Task Set by choosing TOOLS, Copy Task Code Set. The following screen will appear:The Copy Task Code Set feature is useful when you need to make a change to a Task Set and you do not want it to impact all Matters assigned the set.
