Discounts in Orion

Through Bill Preparation > Action > Write Up/Down, you may write down transactions based on a flat dollar amount, percentage of original amount, or percentage of the bill.  You must then print your Invoice using one of the discount styles available that will show the discount line on the Invoice.  Orion does not "automatically" take off a percentage of an Invoice for you. You must go into Bill Preparation and select the transactions you want to write down on the Invoice. Orion will then present the discount as the difference (original amount less the bill amount).

There are options to set up certain Activity/Service Codes to automatically write down transactions to zero upon entry; however, this is on a transaction by transaction basis.
