Orion Law Management Orion Desktop Articles File Maintenance Conflict Records did not Update when Client Name Changed Updated April 14, 2025 19:05 "I changed the Client's Name in File Maintenance. I was prompted to "Change" Existing Conflict Records or "Create" New Conflict Records. I chose change but the old name is still in my search. Why?"The system is designed only to change so the value equals exactly what was showing in the Client record as the name. If it does not find the exact value to “change,” it creates new ones. It is done this way in case it has been changed once before and the User elected to create new ones (and wanted old ones saved). The system looks for an exact match of the name in order to change.To change the Conflict Records to show the updated information, open the conflict record in "Edit Mode." In the Client-Matter field, re-key in the Client Number and/or Client-Matter Number and click Save. Was this article helpful? Yes/No
