Closed Accounts (Matters)

If a matter has been closed, but it has outstanding A/R, Orion will allow you to post payments to it.  You will be able to enter Fee Transactions against the closed Matter but you will receive notification that the Matter is closed, so the fee entry will be saved as “Unreleased” and the status will display as "Incomplete" in Time Manager.  No, the matter will not automatically reopen.  If you want it open, you will need to go into the Matter file and remove the closed date. You may enter Client Advances through AP but you will not be able to enter transactions through Expense Entry unless the Matter is reopened.
