Password Protecting an Invoice

A password can be used to secure an invoice emailed through Email Bill Delivery.  This process can be done at the client level for Client-Level Billing and/or matter level for invoices emailed for each matter.

To use a password to secure an emailed invoice, go to the Bill Delivery tab of your client or matter record.  Make sure the Email Bill Delivery box is checked and that an Email Template is selected, and click on Advanced Options.

In your Advanced Options window, enter the password you would like to use, and click OK.

Now, click Save to save your client or matter record.  When you email the invoice through Email Bill Delivery, the client is prompted to enter the password to open the PDF attachment.
