Orion API

Orion is often asked to integrate with other third-party products and if we offer web API's to the database.  Yes, Orion has this offering, however it is a licensable feature that requires proper setup.  Not every field is accessible or surfaced in our API's and this offering may or may not service your end goals.  Web API's is also complex in nature, and Orion may not be able to assist third-party programmers in accessing our web services.  To help potential third parties explore this method, Orion has created a demo system that developers can use to explore our API's and evaluate our offering for a proper fit.  Orion also offers ODBC access, which may be more appropriate based on your goals.

To access our demo system, you must first authenticate and receive a token (JWT).

Access the main site here and choose Login Service.  

Enter orion and orion for the username and password to receive the JWT.  Tokens expire every 30 minutes.

With the JWT token you may utilize the previous page and connect to either the core or third-party service.  The main differences between the core and third-party service relates to users rights, and what fields are available to you.  The following is an example a basic matter listing method.
