Task Scheduler - Log on as Batch Job Rights Error,

User receives "This task requires that the user account specified has Log on as batch rights.  For more information about setting this policy, see the Task Security Context topic in Help.

This is due to the User ID you logged in as (most likely Orion) not having enough rights.  There is a way to fix locally if you have enough rights.

  1. Click on the Windows start button bottom left of your computer or server.
  2. Start typing “secpol.msc” without the quotes as indicated below with the red arrow.
  3. Wait for the menu to appear and choose Run as administrator as shown below.

  1. In the Local Security Policy app go to Local Policies/User Rights Administration. Note: These are collapsing menus that will open by clicking the “>” one at a time.
  2. Scroll down to Log on as a batch job and double click that entry. See below:

  1. Click add users or groups as shown below:

7. When the Select Users forms appears, type in the name of the user and click Check Names and click OK. See Below:

  1. You will see the account name chosen to add to the Log on as batch job listed as shown below. Click Apply and Ok.
