Using Service/Activity Codes in the Fee Description Field

In Fee Entry or in Bill Preparation, you may use Activity Codes as keystroke shortcuts in the Description fields by typing in the Service/Activity Code (remember, the Codes are case sensitive) and immediately striking the F3 key (do not enter a space after entering the Service/Activity Code).  Once you strike the F3 key, Orion will replace the Code you have entered with the description attached to the Service/Activity Code.

NOTE: Orion comes preset with the F3 key as the Service/Activity Code expansion key.  Although this is unlikely, your Firm may have elected to use a different key for the Code expansion.  If the F3 key does not expand your Code and you are positive the Code is correct, you will need to check with an Orion Administrator in your Firm to discover the correct key to use.
