Unable to Change Fiscal Year on an Unposted General Ledger Transaction

There is a workaround for this but you must do it quickly and make sure no one is in the General Ledger at the time.

Go into GL Manager and choose TOOLS, System Settings.  When the System Settings window appears, change the current Fiscal Year to 2014 and then click the OK Button.  IMMEDIATELY call up the GL transaction in question and change the Fiscal Year to 2014 - click SAVE.  As soon as you have made the change on the transaction, go right back into GL System Settings and change the current Fiscal Year back to 2013 and click OK.

NOTE: This can be a very risky procedure.  You must do everything all at once and not delay between steps.  NEVER change the default GL Period/Fiscal Year through System Settings for any other reason.
