Orion Law Management Orion Desktop Articles General Ledger Restricting GL Posting after Period Closed Updated April 14, 2025 17:57 As postings are done in the other modules, Billing, AR Manager, and AP Manager, transactions are created in GL Manager. The only way to prevent someone from posting transactions after the period has been closed is to restrict access to the GL Manager, i.e., remove rights to GL End of Period. If you don’t want them to be able to make adjusting journal entries (because adjusting journal entries can be saved and posted when entered) to a closed period, you will also have to remove the rights to GL Transaction Entry. This is accomplished by editing the security group of the User in Orion Administration.SN: If there is more than one User in the group and you only need to restrict one person, you may create a security group just for that person.
