String Search in Conflicts

  • Updated

The Orion Conflicts system allows for a number of ways to perform searches.   In order to search for specific words in a certain order, you may use the String search option. Simply choose the radio button that says String prior to clicking on the Search Now button.  If you do a String search Orion will return the hits of the names you search only if the names exist exactly as typed in the search box.

The most common type of search is a Proximity search where you search for two words within x number of words of each other.  This is useful when you are not sure of the order of the names or their spacing in Orion.

For more information about Conflict Searches, see Orion Online Help manual chapter 6 (page 67).
