Orion Law Management Orion Desktop Articles Desktop Is there a way to change multiple Conflicts records from one Relationship Code to another? Updated April 14, 2025 20:26 No.The conflict relationships are assigned to the Conflicts records at the time of conversion for data that existed prior to going live. The relationships are also assigned when you go to create new Client-Matters and input Related Party Conflicts records on the Intake Form. If you need to change the relationships "after the fact," you will need to go to Conflicts, call up the records in question and manually change the relationship on the records one at a time.Orion may be able to assist with editing a data file behind the scenes using a utility for you; however, this would be considered a billable service by Orion, and the Firm would have to understand the ramifications of changing existing data.If you just want to change the "text" description of an existing Relationship Code you may do that for non-system Codes by going to File Maintenance Manager > Tools > Manage Codes, clicking the drop-down and selecting Conflict Relationships, and editing the description of the Relationship Code you want to change. It will display the change of the text on all Conflicts screens immediately after you have saved the change. Caution must be used if you do change text as prior printouts would have the "old" descriptions. This is typically not done because the Relationship Codes for Conflicts are normally set up at the start of going live and remain the same. Was this article helpful? Yes/No
