Adjusting Objects in Document Library Such as Letterhead or Fax Coversheet

In some cases you may need to change the letterhead or fax coversheet. These adjustments could need to happen if a new person is hired, an address change has happened or your fax number has changed.  This does not apply to any information that is pulled from Orion such as contact addresses or names when the document merge occurs. To change prepopulated objects you need to go into the Admin program and then Document Library on the left sidebar. Now click on Merge Forms. This will give a list of all the items in the Document Library. Click on the one you want to edit and note the path down at the bottom in the Merge Forms field.

 

 

You should now browse to that file and open it with Microsoft Word. Most of the time this is going to be in O:\Orion\Document Library\Letterhead and Fax.  Please make a copy of the file before any changes are made as a backup measure.  Once the file is open simply change what needs to be edited and save.  Try not to change spacing in the Word document or any fields that start with {{XX.
