Transactions not Showing on Matter Status AR Ledger

  • Updated

Call up the transaction in AR Manager by clicking on New and putting in the Record Number. You should see the status of the transaction on the record. If it says Entered: Remaining to be applied, this transaction will not show up on the A/R ledger on the Matter Status screen or on the A/R Ledger report until it has been applied to an Invoice. It will, however, show up on the Matter Status Retainer Ledger (even if it is just in a Saved Status) or on a possible Invoice you have printed.

Saved, but not applied, RAP transactions can show on Invoices and will be presented on the Matter Status Retainer Ledger. The reduction of the retainer balance is taken into account immediately to prevent you from overdrawing retainer funds.

Also, at times, you want to save a RAP transaction, present it on an Invoice, and then apply and post it against that very same Invoice. Until the Invoice is actually posted in AR you are unable to apply and post RAP transactions to it.  In either case, you are saving a transaction with the "intent" to apply and post it to an Invoice - so until you actually do those steps it does not show in Matter Status on the A/R Ledger screen.

Transactions in an Applied status (where you have saved the transaction with an amount in the apply column against a particular Invoice or Invoices) will show on the Matter Status A/R Ledger.

Transactions in a Posted status should always show on Matter Status on the A/R Ledger.
