If both the reversal date and the original transaction date are within the report date range, the reversal is thrown out and not factored into the report. When included on the report, reversals can appear with one of two codes (DPMT and RPMT). The code DPMT indicates a reversal where the user chose the “Delete Original Transaction” option during the reversal process. The code RPMT indicates a reversal where the original transaction was not deleted during the reversal process. Both types are handled the same way - the code is just an indication of what happened during the reversal process.BALANCING TO OTHER REPORTSIf you run the Payment Application Analysis to include PMT, RAP and TAP transactions as well as Reversals and use a similar date range, you can balance to the following reports:Payments by Working Attorney - Total Fees, Total Expenses and Total CostsTimekeeper Productivity - Fee PaymentsCash Receipts Analysis - FeesIf you run the Payment Application Analysis to include CR and WO transactions as well as reversals and use a similar date range, you can balance to the following reports:Timekeeper Productivity - Fees Write OffsPaid Disbursement Analysis - Client Advances and ExpensesIf you run the Payment Application Analysis to include PMT, RAP and TAP transactions and use a similar date range, you can balance to the following reports:Client-Matter Annual Summary (Collected) - Total DollarsTimekeeper Annual Summary (Collected) - Total Dollars Was this article helpful?
