Downloading and Configuring iOrion

iOrion provides many advantages.  You can review a full product brochure here.  Some highlights include, time entry from any smart device, Matter Status lookup including Invoices, and reimbursement requests.

To configure your device, please make sure you are configured to be an iOrion user.  This is a licensable feature that must be granted to you by the firm’s administrator.  They can easily enable you by pulling up your user record in Orion (File Maintenance, Tools, Manage Users) and check marking the field for iOrion. They must also fill out the remote username and password.

Once enabled, you will have access to My iOrion under the File Menu in Orion Desktop.

There are two ways to configure iOrion.  You may either scan a QR code (fastest), or manually key in your information.  The QR code is not available for some Android devices.

To Install using the QR Code

  1. Download iOrion from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Launch the iOrion Application.
  3. Choose Import
  4. Open Orion Desktop, and choose My iOrion from the File Menu
  5. You can now scan the QR code from the device.
  6. Upon scanning the QR code, you will be prompted to create a passcode.  Passcode is not the same as password.  The Passcode is a unique code known only to you that you create and you must enter it each time you launch the application.  This protects your data even if you lose your device.  You may also use TouchID instead of a Passcode.
  7. Once complete, you should be able to launch the Profile you just created and connect.

To Install Manually

  1. Download iOrion from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Launch the iOrion Application
  3. Choose Create New Profile
  4. Open Orion Desktop and Choose My iOrion from the File Menu.
  5. You should see the username field, password, server and port number
  6. Enter this information into the iOrion application exactly as it appears (username and passwords are case sensitive).  You will also need to create a Passcode.  The Passcode is a unique code known only to you that you create and you must enter it each time you launch the application.  This protects your data even if you lose your device.  You may also use TouchID instead of a Passcode.
  7. Once complete, you should able to launch the Profile you created and connect.
